Image Statement: The intense energy of squeezing and twisting wire fencing creates the underlying structure. Repetitive wrapping of secondhand fabric creates a lush, fluffy surface. The two bring together elements of stability and containment (suggested by the wire fencing), and flexibility and vulnerability (suggested by the fabric). These qualities allude to the paradox of our lives, freedom and restraint, mortality and eternity.
