Looping, knotless netting, and crochet are versatile and forgiving textile techniques, allowing for innovative material combinations and transitions. This workshop offers an overview of single-strand construction methods, guiding participants in transforming found objects into fiber-based sculptures. Participants will explore familiar techniques to merge materials, navigate transitions, troubleshoot challenges, and develop a narrative within their work. Open to all skill levels, though basic knowledge of crochet or knot-tying may be helpful.
All sessions will be held online over Zoom and recorded. Recordings will be emailed to participants within 24 hours of the session. Recordings are available for one year. This workshop features 2 hour instruction sessions on Saturdays and a midweek meetup to troubleshoot, share progress, and gather in community with other participants. Live sessions are scheduled as follows:Â
- Saturday, October 11, 5-7PM ET (convert timezone)
- Thursday, October 16, 7-8PM ET (convert timezone)
