Join Sew & Sew Retreats in Copenhagen to Celebrate a Heartfelt Christmas December 5 – 14, 2026! Jessie Chorley, known for creating whimsical scenes and stories, is the featured artist who will teach a two-day Christmas themed workshop. We each have our own stories and memories of the holiday and Jessie’s embroidery artworks remind us of those stories and warm feelings. Jessie’s Christmas Embroidery Time workshop will focus on her signature style of hand embroidery, combined with patching and appliqué techniques.
Additional workshops include Paper Cutting, Woven Danish Heart Scarf and Hedebo Embroidery – how very Danish! We will spend a day at the Greve Museum and engage in a workshop on Hedebo embroidery. This embroidery is something quite special to Denmark and is internationally mentioned in connection with other white embroideries such as Venetian and Hardanger embroidery.

But it’s Christmas time so we will experience other Nordic festivities including shopping the Strøget, the longest shopping street in Europe, enjoying the Hans Christian Andersen museum, learning to bake Danish pastries, watching the Saint Lucia Kayak Parade and going to several Christmas markets including the famed Christmas in Tivoli!
