A small-group retreat exploring botanical color on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Textile designer Erica Kowalsky of Down To Earth Goods leads two botanical dye workshops, where participants learn what grows in the local landscape and use those plants, along with food waste and organic extracts, to dye their own textiles. Artist Karen Gutiérrez, co-founder of the art residence Najil Chak, leads an indigo dye workshop. The program also includes daily yoga, a day with a Maya family with a farm-to-table lunch and a cenote swim, and an afternoon with LADLE, a Tulum nonprofit that runs free weekly workshops for local girls.
