Tell.Me 2026 – Call for Papers and Stories/Artworks 3rd International Symposium on Biographical Narratives in Arts, Media and Society 28–29 May 2026 | Online

Researchers, artists and practitioners are invited to submit proposals to Tell.Me 2026, an international online symposium exploring the role of biographical narratives in arts, media and society.

Biographical narratives—whether documentary, artistic or educational—serve as bridges between personal experience and cultural memory. They preserve stories and knowledge while reinterpreting social and cultural frameworks through diverse artistic practices and digital platforms.

Although the symposium is interdisciplinary and not limited to a specific medium, we particularly welcome contributions from artists and researchers working with textile practices, material memory and embodied storytelling. Textile techniques such as embroidery, weaving, quilting and stitching have long been powerful carriers of personal and collective narratives, translating lived experience, heritage and identity into material forms.

🖥 Virtual Exhibition

Selected artistic contributions will be presented in a curated online exhibition. As the exhibition takes place in a digital environment, audiovisual formats are particularly encouraged, including:

– video artworks or short video documentation of textile works
– digital storytelling and narrative video pieces
– multimedia or sound-based narratives
– audiovisual documentation of material or performative textile practices
