We want to hear from you!

Do you want your voice to be heard on SDA’s Blog? We are looking for artists, critics, and fiber enthusiasts to submit blog articles about happenings in the fibers world. With so many active members, we want to share the amazing experiences you all are having. From exhibitions to classes, tutorials to research, the SDA community is far reaching and has so much to offer to one another.

Have you been to a recent exhibition with a fiber emphasis to it, or know of one that’s upcoming? We are looking for thoughtful reviews of shows as well as documentation images to share what textile work is being exhibited.

Are you skilled in a certain technique that you’d love to share? All of our members work in such a wide variety of media, and everyone is always looking to learn a new skill. There are so many ways members are working to bush the boundaries of what fiber art can do. Share with us what you’re passionate about.

Do you have research to share from a project you’ve been working on? This could be school related thesis work, travel excursions, or professional practices for artists. Some of the research you’re doing now could massively help out another member down the line.

We are also looking for opinion pieces on any other facet of the fibers community that interests you. Is there an article in a previous journal that sparked something that you would like to talk about? The possibilities are extremely open, and we encourage all to share what is piquing their curiosities.

If you have an article to share, fill out this Blog Post Submission Form
